We are only half way through November, and I’m already getting ready for December! I created this journal after reading Ali Edward’s blog where she showcased this project. I think it’s an amazing idea-to create a journal/ scrapbook BEFORE the holidays, so all I have to do is add a photo and some journaling each day. I also think it will inspire me to take note (and get pictures) of some of the “little things” that really make the season great.
This was so fun to put together-and fast! I used the covers of an old book (that I got from Half Price Books for 99¢) for the cover of my journal. I liked the gold border, so I left that, but I rotated the format to a landscape orientation. From there, I added lots of “random” pages, including transparencies, plexiglass, envelopes, cards, tags, and torn book pages. For the numbers, I printed on kraft paper, stamped the red outline (using a cap from one of my husband’s screwdrivers!) and cut with a circle punch.
I added various journaling blocks and rubons, and voila! I can’t wait to start filling it up!
